Every video is a unique blend of creativity, research, branding and personality that we carefully put together to create a stand out video product, but the process to get it done within the limits of budget and time is to use a proven process.  Here it is broken down for you:

Step 1 – Gather Information

We start by working with you to gather relevant information about your company and brand. This process helps us build our relationship so we can work and communicate as efficiently as possible. It’s also at this point where we get an idea of why you want to make a video; what its purpose is; and your goals, dreams and desires of how it will perform and help your company achieve new levels of success.

We start by figuring out:

  1. Why you want a video.
  2. What its end goal is.
  3. Who the intended audience is.
  4. How you’re going to deliver it.
  5. How you want your brand perceived
  6. What your brand mission is and values are

Only by knowing where to end do we know where to start.

Step 2 – Brainstorm

So how do we use this new-found wealth of information? We have fun of course! We loosen the ties and start to think outside the box. Any idea is game at this stage- actually it’s encouraged! Here we start to narrow down exactly what your video is going to look like, feel like and what form it’s going to take. Is it a product demo series? A ‘how-to’ video? Or maybe it’s a short narrative that engages the prospect at an emotional level. The objective here is to narrow the focus onto a specific message.

Some possible corporate videos are:

  • A morale boosting, feel good internal corporate video intended for employees to bolster confidence
  • A series of product demos on Youtube to increase brand awareness and become the ‘expert’ in your field, resulting in more sales conversions
  • A documentary about an exemplary employee and their philosophies to inspire colleagues
  • A weekly news show highlighting successes and ongoing company developments that can be played via the internet or intranet
  • An emotional marketing video for your website’s landing page to convert potential customers into buyers

Of course the possibilities are too numerous to write here, but you get the idea.

One aspect we like to start considering here is the psychological impact of the potential video. We have strategies to help influence buying so we find a way to weave those into your production.

Step 3 – Script writing

We polish the magic on the page. It might take a few drafts to get it just right, but it’s well worth it.  Enough said.

Step 4 – Budgeting

With the approved script we put together the production budget for your corporate video. Sometimes, depending on budget, we have to go back and forth between the budget and scripting stages until both the two shall meet.

For smaller budgets we can start the budget process earlier so that no one’s time or money is wasted.

Step 5 – Pre-production

Now that the script and budget are approved we can move onto pre-production which includes:

  • Scheduling the shoot(s)
  • Creating shot lists and storyboards
  • Hiring the crew
  • Casting
  • Location scouting
  • Taking care of anything else that affects the shoot days.

If any more changes or ideas come up this is the time to take care of them as it usually gets expensive and time consuming to change anything after this step.

Step 6 – Production

All the efforts of the first five steps now come to fruition. We shoot it! More fun for all.

Step 7 – Post-production

Now we sit in a dark editing studio, click a bunch of buttons and apply the final magic touches. We create a rough cut based on the script and put in rough titling, narration, music and graphics to make sure everything is working. Once that’s approved we move onto colour correction, audio sweetening and then the Master making any last tweaks along the way.

Then we output and it’s go time!…

Step 8 – Content management & distribution

Depending on what we discussed at the beginning we’ll now put your campaign into action. Whether we’re rolling out a series episode every week; designing your new Youtube channel; creating your landing page; reproducing a thousand DVDs; or simply delivering a one-off promotional video we’ll make it happen swiftly and professionally.
